Nuno Espírito Santo, the manager of Nottingham Forest, has given an update on Super Eagles full-back Ola Aina’s fitness after he sustained an injury during Tuesday’s 2-1 victory over Manchester United at the City Ground. During the first half of the game, Aina seemed to have a calf problem and needed emergency medical assistance on the field.
The 28-year-old right-back was replaced in the 36th minute of the match by Spanish left-back Alex Moreno after he was unable to continue playing despite his best efforts. Aina’s use of crutches to exit the stadium following the game sparked additional questions regarding the extent of his injury and whether he would be sidelined for an extended period of time.
When discussing the issue with Nottinghamshire Live, Espírito Santo acknowledged that a scan would be the only way to get a clear picture of Aina’s situation. “We have to assess,” the Forest manager said, expressing his anxiety. When a player sustains an injury on his own, it is always concerning. He will undergo a scan, and we will monitor the results. Only the scan will be able to pinpoint exactly what it is.

Nottingham Forest is devastated by Aina’s injury because the 28-year-old has been an essential member of the team’s defensive line-up this year. With two goals and 30 Premier League appearances under his belt, he has cemented his status as a key member of Forest’s defense. To find out how serious his injury is and how long he might be out, the team will be hoping for good results from the next scan.

The RB has scored two PL goals this season.
The team’s defensive tactics for the rest of the season may be significantly impacted if Aina’s injury is as serious as anticipated. Without him, Forest’s hopes of finishing well in the Premier League may suffer, and the team will be keen to find out more when the scan’s findings are in.
